You can drink good beer and visit brothels. Try "doener kebab." Be careful with refugees, they sometimes attack random people for no good reason, especially at train stations. If you love spending money on luxury items, you will find many jewelers and boutiques in the city centre.

Sleep in a hostel if you want a more social experience. You will meet many like minded travellors there.

I read there are no-go zones in Germany, including Munich.

Munich is my favorite city in Germany - visited many times. If you're staying for just a few days, make sure to hit the "classic" locations, such as Hofbrauhaus and Marienplaz in general. The beautiful English Garden is definitely worthwhile.

Dont go where all tourists go, follow the locals to know where the good places are. Also, dont behave like a stereothypical US (if you are from the US) tourist.

Just the usual tourist stuff which guides recommend. You could look if people are already surfing in the Eisbach.

As a side note: Don´t wear anything that could be perceived as right wing, because leftism is strong here
