I am not an alpha. But through therapy and over the years, I have learned how to assert myself in a few things. One of those is that I can now break up with a woman cleanly and unequivocally when I've decided I don't want to be with her anymore.

I've done this a number of times, and I feel like I often get a ton of rage and indignation and recrimination.

I think there could be a number of explanations for this: I've heard it said that, for example, women with abandonment in their past react to breakups with the attitude that he simply is not entitled to break up with me . Maybe it's the kind of girls I date. Maybe it's just normal breakup anger. Maybe it's just me.

But is there something about the woman-beta dynamic that could make her feel more self-righteous in her anger? Or just more angry, period?
