It doesn’t say it outright, but it’s there in the subtext. She’s miserable in the relationship, but doesn’t just break up. Nope. She’s looking for “the next” before the cuts that cord. Rarely does a woman just break up without ensuring the next relationship is ready to go. She’s really mad that she can’t snag something better.

This is exactly what happened to me. My wife (ex) began to compartmentalise me. She stopped seeing me as a whole person who had faults and strengths but was overall a good man. She began to see me as a series of faults and problems. She compartmentalised me into a series of boxes and the holistic view of me disappeared. And as her dislike of me increased, due to the undue attention of my single faults, her attitude towards me became exactly as the OP is describing. And more disturbing, she would have hated it if I had done the same to her and would have felt it was extremely unjust.

The increasing emphasis on a man's little faults is a very grave red flag.
