Anyone with self-respect and a self-worth not hinged on women would know what to do. This to me is one of the biggest differences between men and women and why men lose so often; women have a massive sense of self-worth while men often don't and they hinge their self-worth on whether or not they have or can get women. There's an old saying that goes thus:

In other words, people don't change. She left once, she'll leave again (or, she is still gone mentally, but is letting her body hang out with you while her mind's on Chad.)

[edit] It is suggested that she moved back to her home country because her family made her. If that were so, is she still there? If so, how is meeting up with her on Tinder going to make any difference. Yes, OP knows she didn't leave of her own volition, and I get the allure of the foreign, but... long distance relationships are hard on everybody, and once the other person is out of sight, you have zero chance of catching them when they "step out." Why did she not contact OP by card or letter? Is $1,25 for a card at the airport plus twenty cents for the stamp too much to assuage his pain and suffering? Did OP move and so change addresses? Did he lose his PHONE?! She couldn't call? She's a child at 26. She hasn't matured, and getting into a relationship with a child - no matter how old or young they are - is doubly dangerous.
