So I'm 23yo and today I decided to be honest to my family about not wanting to get married or have kids.

I was having lunch with my grandmother and aunt, who are both religious and gynocentric, grandma started saying "you need to find yourself a good wife and then you'll be set", I responded, jokingly, "how can you wish me so bad, grandma?" then we all laughed.

My aunt was like "if you marry a woman who works, she can pay half of the mortgage like I do with my husband", I replied "young girls nowadays don't even wanna split the bill on a coffee shop, imagine asking them to pay half of the mortgage, plus, nobody needs to own a big house to live well".

Then grandma said "how come you don't wanna get married? Yes, you will". I replied "I don't have to, it's not mandatory".

Aunt:"you will find a pious, loyal and God-fearing wife". A bit of my aunt's background: she spent her 20's dating broke Tyrones and taking BBC, then when she was pushing 30 she became religious and settled down with a 30 year old virgin incel who got rich, she's gained around 45 pounds since the wedding day.

At night I told my mom, my sister and my stepfather "so grandma today was wishing me a wife. Are you crazy? I don't wish that to my worst enemy", they almost fell their chairs laughing. My mother supports me being MGTOW because she's aware of the absurd laws we have. I have two uncles who never heard of the acronym MGTOW but they are very vocal about never getting married.

My father is married and couldn't live another lifestyle, but he respects my decision.

What about you? Does your family know you're MGTOW? How did they react to it?
