Unless required for your job, don't get a CPR certification. Failure to render aid when you have a life saving certification is a criminal offense in many areas.

I recently asked in my work first aid yearly training if it's ok to just keep driving past a car wreck. Shitty thing to do but keeps you from dying or being injured yourself and also out of legal hot water. Call the trained professionals with the equipment and experience rather than potentially performing CPR on a car crash casualty and potentially killing them.

A girl in one of my engineering seminar classes low-key fainted and there were only men in the room barring one female and she rushed up there to try to help and looked back and saw that none of the men went to help aside from the professor.
