Learning Russian alphabet as a dyslexic native english speaker is a godamn nightmare. It's fun for that reason.

Learning Japanese cause I live there. Usually I actually don't like to speak it, but having some listening skills helps at least. I appreciate the phonetic pronunciation and regular verb conjugations, but everything else can fuck off. Over 2000 common use kanji? Fuck off. Informal, formal, and ultra formal variations that make it feel like learning 2.5 languages? Fuck off. A hundred particles that no one really knows the rules for? Fuck off.

But nah it's fun, you should try it.

I'm studying ancient languages, not in any official capacity but right now i really like proto European languages. Runic, gaulish, Latin (specifically Illuminated Manuscript) and about halfway decent at Writing in Textura Quadrata... An art in itself. Love it!
