Ancient philosophy is better for men. Psychology only describes how the female mind works. And if psychological studies aren't repeatable, its because the female mind is pure chaos.

It's psychology. It's not real science. It's fee fee "science". Psychiatrists(real head doctors) have an utter disrespect for psychologists. It's amateurs(psychologists) vs pros(psychiatrists). 2 years community college or online doesn't equal 8 year university.

Went to two sex therapists to deal with my porn induced erectile dysfunction. Both told me that wasn’t real, both we’re wrong. Didn’t know shit about my problems, didn’t ask me much. Just kept talking and loving themselves speaking the whole time. Overpriced. If you want genuine psychological help you need to find a psychologist, not a therapist, and one whose research is respectable. Find one who’s been researching similar topics to what you are suffering from. This is coming from someone who did research in his undergrad and opted out of the psychologist path.

They can be of some help but they ignore that they can really only help you change how you thknk, not how you feel, the latter baseline being nearly impossible for them to achieve. That's what shrooms, mdma, etc. do: a change of mindset, a change in how you feel. Studies are starting to show that low, non-recreational (did we all hear that? Save the heavy doses for the phish concert, we're talking therapeutic dosing here.) of shrooms and lsd can be VERY and immediately beneficial. Subjects have said the benefits are lasting even 6 mos later without even going on subsequent trips. Just saying any form of talk therapy is, at best, overrated. If it worked, people wouldn't be in it for years.

The psychologist that diagnosed my autism in February told me 'it gets better'.

I'm still waiting for that to happen.

Also I had 6 months of counselling in the past and found it useless. On the other hand a 4 day motivational course I took for returning to work was more than a thousand times better and more inspiring.
