I saw https://imgur.com/gallery/3DM4P7Y and it's titles "Intimidation is an Art".

It reminded me of being treated poorly like that.

Today I know that had anyone, my parents, my teachers, the police, anyone told me that yes, I am allowed to fight back and that this is just low life intimidation with nothing to back it up, nobody could have intimidated me.

I met so many men who just shrugged when others used those tactics on them, but because of my childhood, I could never see it before.

The simple statement "Just TRY to defend yourself. Just try it." would have done wonders for me.

The picture shows it perfectly. You are not born with the knowledge to defend yourself. You need to be told and encouraged.

So many times I was beaten up and treated poorly and even today I have to fight against years of ill-minded people telling me that "violence was no solution".

And they are still there on the internet. Mothers still tell their boys that violence was no solution.
