Well, men truly are used when it comes to “relationships”.

Dating is a ladder, and at most steps one or the other sex is at a disadvantage:

- Courtship: The men are supposed to approach the women, take the emotional risks, possible pay for the dates or do stuff to impress the women, while the women select -> Male disadvantage, and women who purposely keep a man at this stage....friendzone them.

He also gets a minor boost in attractiveness and status, but it comes at a relatively high cost (Hence MGTOW having so much more money and especially free time). This is a lot less lopsided than the earlier steps, but keeping up a relationship at this point has significant opportunity cost for the man. If the women cucks him at this stage it is a pretty big deal. -> Male disadvantage

- Having kids: At this stage women sacrifice a big deal of their time, health and attractiveness for the rest of their life, while men commit a lot of resources. Huge opportunity cost for both, and mistakes at this stage are really costly. Still, at this stage both sexes can do horrible shit to each other, basically the worst things they can do to each other in relationships: Men can ghost and abandon their families or trade in their women for younger and hotter, while women can do the ultimate cucking and try to slip in Chad's kid into her relationship with betabux. This step has the closest thing to parity out of all the steps, with the caveat that in the anglosphere divorce laws are so stupid that the law forces most of the risk on the men. In the US, then, this still has male disadvantage, while, for example, in Arabian countries this has female disadvantage
