I agree with feminists who want to end any self-protection for women and "minorities" or whatever they call their little criticism shields these days that they hide behind.

I particularly enjoy their anti-gun measures as well.

See, as a predatory rapist and convicted felon, I prefer my targets of opportunity to believe I've been "taught not to rape" and reading feminist's positions on "women should be as helpless and disarmed as possible and men are like, evil and stuff..."

It's nice to know that if I follow a woman through a parking lot, her not having pepper spray, a weapon, or even basic self-defense training, then I will have no problem quickly overpowering her and doing whatever I want. I mean, it's not like I can help it, it's wired in genetically with my toxic masculinity and after all, #AllMenAreRapists.

So, once again, I'd like to thank feminism for teaching, promoting, and shaming women who would even consider self-defense against people like me. I'm sure they can do a lot of help fumbling around in their purse for a rape whistle during a high speed take down. I'm glad you feel the urge to be a gazelle on the African plains skipping down the path.

Keep it up, you'll get those rape stats where you want them the more you remove any power from women, but at least you're consistent, you do not, in any way, force any responsibility on a woman for anything in life. And actively promote that even their very core safety isn't their responsibility. Don't worry, I'll make it my responsibility. :)

I’m not sure what the laws are in Germany regarding self defense, but here in the neighbouring country of the Netherlands we’re not even allowed to own pepperspray. You can get a (small) blank firing gun for home defense, but take it anywhere outside of your home and you’re basically setting yourself up for illegal firearms possession should you get caught with it. Minimum sentence last time I checked was 4 years in prison and a €10,000 fine.

Self defense legally is another dump on personal liberty. If you’re being attacked, you’re only allowed to use your fists. If the use of force is then considered legal, meaning you didn’t put the attacker into some form of permanent disability or death and called the cops as soon as you could, you can get out of it without a criminal record. Using any type of weapon, even if it’s just to keep the attacker from coming near you, will be considered self defense in excess. You will probably be in jail until the court hearing, it usually ends up with a criminal conviction and a sentence of time served, basically meaning you’re free to go after the court hearing.

Now consider the consequences of this shitty type of self defence laws. As a woman you’re not even allowed to use any weapons when you’re being attacked, so you’re bound to lose to any male by definition. Your only option within your rights basically is running away from any attacker while calling the cops and hoping your attacker has less stamina than you until the cops arrive.

The second part of these consequences comes from the illegal arms trade. The last few years there’s been an insane amount of firearms that have been confiscated. Even before the EU opened all it’s internal borders they estimated there were already over 10,000 illegal firearms being smuggled into the NL each year. In the last 2 years we’ve had organized criminals shooting up several tabloid headquarters WITH FUCKING ANTI TANK MISSILES. Now how am I supposed to defend myself against a criminal who can have anything from a pistol to an RPG with my bare hands?

My American brothers, whatever you do, never give up your 2nd amendment rights. Your life depends on it.

To be fair mabye pepperspray should not be sold over the counter just like that. Who knows what kind of idiot start using it as a prank on people or whatever. But she is stating that it scares women, well no lady the actually predators are scary not pepperspray. Just think about this if I was a women in germany in a bigger city I would not mind carying pepperspray. And no that is not victim shamming, it is simply giving me a fighting chance when I do get attacked. And yes that is putting the duty to defend myself upon myself but guess what that is every guy his duty aswell (even more so we are assumed to protect women). You are responsible for taking care of yourself, this means eating healthy and making sure you dont drunk drive for example. Now do I aplaud a society were women have to arm themselves with pepperspray to protect themselves? No not at all, but that is the reality of living in a society (and not just a german one or a modern one). Women are weaker then men and if evil men have evil notions women are generally defenceless. So pick up the pepperspray, not because you are ment to be scared, but ment to protect yourself from situations which might be dangerous. Same reason you wear a seatbelt, same reason you dont drink 2 bottles of whiskey, you have duty to be preppared in a society. And if you do get attacked it is not your fault (assuming you did not instigate the violence), and if you tried to defend yourself and failed noone blames you, but I rather have a 100 women carying pepperspray for nothing and not get rapped, then have 1 woman do not carry it and get raped while pepperspray could have avoided it.
