No need to assume they've done any homework. People are lazy. If they can dismiss a controversial idea a priori then they're liable to.

Choosing not to live with or marry women obviously suggests a voluntary withdrawal from them. Expect a lot of people using the term incel to not even know that the "in" part is short for involuntary.

It's a lot of the hatred towards women and some of the posts that cheer on a woman being cheated on.

I think if the sub was more focused on actual things MGTOW men do, their daily activities and self improvement, and less on women, it wouldn't get that perception of being INCEL however, but honestly I gain a little more insight from each post every day so it doesn't bother me that much.

Some anger is understandable, and also occurs in the red pill subreddit.. I mean posts like this make a former "good man" shake his head.. do I really want to act like this just to keep a woman around? Almost not worth the effort. The nicer you are to her, the more bitchy she'll get. They don't really "love" those simps they marry, it's just a relationship of compromise to extract resources.

It’s because incels are an easy scapegoat; nobody of either gender likes them. So by associating MGTOW with incels, those who hate us have an easy way to slander us without actually doing their homework and finding out what the MGTOW life is all about.

It's shaming language. They still want to believe that man's some mission in life is the pursuit of women. And so if they say you can't get a woman, or are a virgin, they think they can emasculate you. It's just another weak, mindless tactic of low caliber people.
