It's illegal in most first world countries to not hire people for some random reason. Only an idiot would admit to not hiring someone for a prejudicial reason and be exposed to the legal blowback.

So don't hire them because they are dumb. Don't hire them because their facebook is full of hate (background check). Don't hire them because they can't prove their skills. You don't need to not hire them just on the grounds of them being a woman when there's so much shit baggage that makes them unsuited for most jobs as a symptom of being a woman.

Also, how the fuck would they even prove it in court? Let me tell you something you might not know: even hollywood is subject to these laws. So when they are requesting a leading female role, they technically can't turn down a man who applies because he's a man. But they get away with it every single time because -- how do you prove what the person was thinking and their reasons for not hiring someone?

How is this any different then " preferring" women candidates for positions? Lots of men are being excluded for their sex but apparently it's only illegal to do to women ?

Oh come on. I can think of ten different, legitimate reasons to not hire someone without even glancing at her resume'. I just "happen" to never hire women for my business. I also would never let anyone know that I do this.
