Dear god I may have to save this post and reread it in a moment of weakness when one of these work thots hit on me.

The hardest part is, what can you do about it? Not a lot. They’re so invested into what the have and are blinded to reality. I know I was when I was married. Well kinda, I wanted to be married as a symbol of success but would call her out every time she did shy I didn’t like. I was never totally blue pilled when I was married.

Bill: Man. His girlfriend is just cold. She hates and is distrustful of everyone, including me, and is in constant suspicion that he will cheat on her, hence putting a tracking device on his phone without permission. When he found out and called her out on it, she offered to put a tracking device on her phone as well so they'd both know where each other were at all times and played it off like she was just trying to do it for the benefit of the relationship. Unbelievable.

My theory is that most guys really want to be married to a woman that they are attracted to -- at least attracted to when they first met, or at least somewhat attracted to, if they can't attract anyone whom they are REALLY attracted to.

It sounds bad to them to make it simply about attraction, but that's the difference between marrying/dating and simply being friends with a woman.

To make it sound better than about simply attraction, society encourages marriage/dating to be about a very involved "partnership," including finances. It's considered traditional and good to have everything tied together with one's partner, and to give one's partner everything that they can give them.

Since most guys don't seem to attract women easily, I think guys especially buy into all that. They think that they can make up for not being a "Chad" by spending money on their woman, or doing everything that they can for them -- and maybe not even asking much in return, other than for just being together as a couple.

Having been through a bad romantic relationship myself, one thing I learned is that one has to respect oneself and use one's own brain. One can't just give everything away, give up everything, and put up with anything, all in the name of having a romantic relationship. One needs to be fine with being single, and never feel like they would go through ridiculous amounts of issues just to have that romantic relationship. In other words, if it's a bad deal for them, don't go any further into that romantic relationship. I think a lot of the bad-sounding relationships that the original poster described would never have gone on that long, if only the guys had that view -- that their quality of life matters, and it's not worth it to give away everything simply based on attraction when they first met a woman.

I feel bad for them but it is what it is these days. Many of my friends who are married or have a steady GF have basically put their balls on a platter and handed it to their wives/GFs.

The funny thing is that they kind of understand I'm MGTOW in spirit but they haven't tag me as that. But all of my single friend bemoan how old buddies are no longer allowed to come hang out with single guys.

Im 27 aswell. I never married or have kids. Almost all my Guy friends who are married or have "relationships" Get fucking shit on. They dont even realize it. Its like they lost their balls. I have even stood up for my step dad a few times. I went home to visit my mother and she was treating my step dad like a complete second class citizen. (Keep in mind all the cars, house and shit is all because of him) she's getting better at it now. I was out of the house for 6 years and came back to visit and was like"wtf"

I'm like the only guy who really doesn't give a shit about relationships, yet every guy where i'm from can't even go 5 minutes without talking about some girl they are trying to get with, whether it's over phone, direct conversation, social media, and constantly teasing/flirting with them in real life, they act like it's all they live for. It's annoying as hell, i don't even bother interacting 99% of the time because that's all they do.

There's so much shit to do in life that can make you happy that doesn't involve a relationship.
