That's called feminist historical revisionism aka propaganda.

From the wiki:

All but one of the programs cited in her notes had been prepared by Babbage from three to seven years earlier. The exception was prepared by Babbage for her, although she did detect a 'bug' in it. Not only is there no evidence that Ada ever prepared a program for the Analytical Engine, but her correspondence with Babbage shows that she did not have the knowledge to do so.

The engine was never completed so her program was never tested.

Modern computers are based off Boolean Logic.

We don't know what was actually done by her.
Her algorithm was never tested and proven to work, she only published an algorithm that was intended to work on an analytical machine that was never finished or even proven to work.
Algorithms such as the Euclidean algorithms have already existed since 300BC.
Her work contributed nothing to modern day computers.

You'd have to vastly expand the definition of programmer for her to be considered a computer programmer, and even then there is no evidence that her work was of any use.

If the algorithm was made by a man, it'd have been lost in history due to its insignificance.
