The shit of it is-- even if you DO (mistakenly) accept the faux-history of things like this -- the way that they attempt to use this, to wit:

ONCE upon a time...

ONE woman (singular) apparently had ONE moment of "creative genius."

^Which ^by ^the ^way ^(according ^to ^the ^"official" ^story ^THEY ^promote) ^was ^not ^"rejected" ^by ^those ^{(patriarchal/misogynistic/toxic} ^masculine) ^men, ^who ^instead ^worked ^WITH ^her, ^etc ^(but ^I ^digress).
Therefore ALL women (every single one of them) should be treated as a "genius" ALL the time.

Does that make ANY logical sense whatsoever?

Do they promote the SAME kind of thing with MEN?

After all, there are demonstrably vastly MORE examples of "Male" geniuses... so while it would still be rather foolish, statistically speaking treating ALL men as if THEY TOO were "geniuses" would have a massively higher probability (orders of magnitude higher) of being "appropriate." (Again, it would still be wrong/foolish far more often than it would be right/appropriate, but it would nevertheless make far MORE sense.)

What of course would make even MORE sense yet, would be to try to identify the "common traits" of "people" who HAVE -- in the past -- come up with innovative ideas: you know, things like that first of all they WERE "men" and not women, secondly they were (generally) bachelors or at least still "single/unmarried/childless" men (i.e. at the time of the creative "genius" even if they later married & had a family); third that -- despite the larger populations elsewhere -- they (genetically) tended to come from a single region of the world, and most recently from certain rather specific sub-ethnic-groups on/from the more "northern" areas of that continent. (I suppose you could say that their "environment" -- particularly the hard seasonal changes -- more or less forced them to "adapt/evolve" them TO that kind of "creative genius"... particularly with things "fire" related, as well as subsequently "machinery" & what we call "modern technology").

But nooo.... of course not. We can't do THAT... it would be "sexISS" and "rayCISS." Instead we need to PROMOTE certain "exceptions" in order to attempt to PUSH all girls/women to become something they are (rather obviously) not -- and since we need to PUSH, they're also (again rather obviously) not naturally interested in or inclined to undertake.

Why? Because there is this THEORY-- this BELIEF -- that everyone is "equal" (i.e. and also, by implication, in essence "identical" -- like identical/replaceable "cogs" to be fit into a machine -- at least so long as they have been "shaped" by society/indoctrination into believing that they are; then "abracadabra" magically they WILL be capable of "genius" ... TADA!)

LOL, have always thought the story was rather "fishy"; but this but from the patentlawcenter piece had me busting a gut:

“Important chemical part”? “On the living room rug”? Call me skeptical, but I suspect George Anthiel had other motivations for including Hedy as a co-inventor.

Indeed... probably any NUMBER of different "motivations" -- in addition to the "boob job" stuff -- there would also be her rich "industrialist" hubby.

But the "chemical part" bit is HILARIOUS -- AFAIK there is no "chemical" part of the supposed "invention" -- maybe she just meant you know "science-y / mathemagical / technomologiricial" kind of like stuff... you know, gears and chemicals and nerdy shit like that.

EDIT: Also the comments underneath the judgybitch piece are sort of equally entertaining (albeit in a different manner).
