Using a condom does not "ensure" anything. It only mitigates the risk.

And as long as you continue to push the myth of "safe sex", the potential will continue to exist.

The increasingly promiscuous society is kinda gross. I read that 1 in 8 women are predicted to have genital herpes in Australia. That is a horrifying statistic. Having random sex with someone really is rolling the dice these days. It should be illegal to not tell a potential sexual partner of any STI you carry before sex.

AFAIK the first identified case was very recent and it was a man who went to Thailand and had a lot of unprotected sex (he didn't clarify whether they were prostitutes but probably were).

So it seems like case zero probably had unprotected sex with other women back home (not sure if this was before or after visiting the Doctor). He may even be a bisexual like a lot of sexual deviants tend to be. So one can see how 1 infected person can later infect an exponential number of people.
