It's a lot more simple then you might imagine.

It's not your responsibility to baby sit women
It's not your responsibility to chase or cater to women.
Find happiness with yourself, do things you enjoy doing.
Dont get married and have kids based on what society says you should do.
Stop caring what anyone, especially women think of you.

Make your own choices in life based on what you want, instead of what society and women think you should do. Since modern women are so entitled nowadays they think everything revolves around them and we should be happy to have them. We say fuck that. It goes both ways. Women aren't doing what we expect from them. So why should we?

mgtow is about staying single. reasons why is referred to as the red pill. here's one of them.
women lose their beauty when they're 30 something
if u stay with a woman, u'll have to be with an ugly woman for 40 years or so because life expectancy rate as of 2014 is 74. if u divorce her, she'll take at least half ur stuff ( very common ). i'd rather be single.
if u refuse to marry/stay, she'll try to trap/destroy u. sperm jacking, blackmail, false rape accusation, it's all there my friend.
there's lots of stories of women screwing men. i can tell u a few. yes, men screw women a lot too, wouldn't it be better for both morality and ur welfare to stay single since contact with women encourage bad things happening to women or vice versa??

Focus on these three things in your life.

Strong mind, constantly develop your mind schooling, skills, etc.

Strong body, keep your body in shape and ready for everything life throws at you or everything you want to go through.

Strong soul, be content to be by yourself, and not just cancerous women, cancerous men, cancerous jobs, be able to walk away from anything that has a negative affect in your life.

So a few corrections:

- Not a movement, but an idea/lifestyle/philosophy

- There isn't a set of beliefs, its more of a disbelief system (like Atheism)

Short Answer: It's men who opt out of marriage and relationships in order to focus on their own happiness and health.

Long Answer: It's men who recognize an institutional bias in the system against men and decide to opt out of a traditional path of relationships, marriage and family in order to attain happiness and health NOT defined by society but by their own definitions.

Yo, I’m somewhat in the same boat as you, being in the same age range, I’m 17, recent mgtow and in a way mgtow is a bit malleable. The core of it is going your own way to self improvement. But this core is set up in a way that there is no set way to get to this goal, so you can go your own way, your way (if that makes sense lol) this also connects to the topic of woman, a lot of men here have been torn down by woman either through divorce or relationships and even through family in some cases. Through that they decided to go their own way (or gyow for short)

I’m positive someone else can explain this better than I, since I’m a more recent attendee, but I would highly suggest going your own way with mgtow. From one teen to another, this is a choice you won’t regret

Some of the original MGTOW content on YouTube was by PaulProteus, bar bar, Stardusk, and Spetsnaz. That should get you started at least. After that you can move into the others.

It's worth remembering that while mgtow seems great and I agree with all of what I read here, there's unicorns out there. My brother has found a unicorn that he's been married to for about 7 years now she's the most red pilled woman I've ever met.

This isn't some monk vow to celibacy or anything, you're super young to not have flings if you happen apon an incredibly rare unicorn. Some mgtows are anti marriage and still date, it's just about not devoting/ ruining your life over women just because you follow society and worship them.
