Nah, these crazy kids today have never had the joy of hearing an Amway pitch, although you can hang out in Starbucks and watch them meet there.
Hmmm, so they ARE actually still in existence and doing that... wasn't sure. It's been 30+ years since I knew of anyone that fell for it.
-- Last MLM I encountered someone trying to foist was the "Pampered Chef" stuff... oh, and before that there was about a decade (or at least it felt like a decade, mid 90's through early 2000's) when it seemed every third neighbor or co-worker was buying/pushing "Shaklee" or some other "vitamin/herbal" bullshit.
-- EDIT: Now that I think about it, I suppose that's been a BIG side-benefit of being semi-retired and working almost entirely from home -- a DECADE+ of zero BS from coworkers* pushing their scams, NOR now that I think of it, trying to get me to "sponsor" some bullshit charity-extortion thing, NOR having their kids' sport-hobby fund-raising crap shoved in my face.
* The "Pampered Chef" thing was a neighbor, and wasn't really anymore irritating than your average "junk mail" flyer -- just stuck in my screen door -- only lasted about 6 months before she realized she was just blowing hubby's money on crap and not selling anything to anyone but herself (just like Amway, etc).
