To be fair sometimes reality slaps you upside the head and you realize for whatever reason your goals are not going to be achieved.

The girl I wanted to be with pulled the rug out from under me at a critical time and now I'm thankful she did. It demonstrated just how strong I was. It also made me realize that I alone will enjoy my success. Ok, not exactly true. My cat will be there with me as well.
