Austin, Texas, US. I've even thought about building a camp treehouse. I don't have the balls to do it though. Somebody posted a while back about two guys who built a camo treehouse in what I believe was Washington state. So, somebody is out there living it man! Those trees up there are huge tho. With huge canopies to give you cover. Pretty cool guerilla camping.

But in the park I'm mentioning it would be impossible to do that, the park is not that big. Stealth would be important in my case. And I would return to it at night and leave at morning. Plenty of places to be, mainly, a public university in the city with several different campus and libraries, it's a nice place to spend the day.
I'm also not sure if I have the balls, but I'm coming to a point where I will probably need to either do that or move back with my mother.

What they are doing olin Washington state is definitely illegal. If they are caught by park rangers on public land, they will be arrested and could face some pretty serious, at the least troublesome, charges. They had a setup high up in the trees though, so they could probably get away with it for a while. That's national park land, so nowhere to park a vehicle since you can't park them overnight. The impression I got is that they returned to the treehouse periodically to camp out for a time. I've given urban camping a thought as well. I've even considered abandoned subways, clean work rooms in sewers, or work rooms under buildings. The reality might get old quick tho. No heat or air conditioning, no bathroom, etc.

Urban ones here are already crowded, since homelessness is a lot more common. In the park though living there isn't even illegal, but it doesn't matter much if I'm kicked out by the criminal militia that controls a close area, that's the reason I need stealth. I have the advantage that the coldest day year around is probably around 14°C
