I was hinging on some doubt about the importance of SMV. But from my current experience at the work place & social life my reality has shifted.

I myself am 5'6" and european/asian (south). I would describe myself as lean and clearly visibly muscular through clothes. Facially average or slightly above average (nothing to repulse people). And I would say I'm pretty confident & talkative.

Bearing all these things in mind I recently joined a workplace; what I noticed was during socials women gravitated around a few particular guys or guy. 6ft2 & attractive. They invest and talk to him naturally whereas with me it is like I'm playing squash, only me asking questions or talking with bear minimal effort from them & furthermore some go as far as to subconsciously move away from me to others and have conversations with them.

I have noticed this subtle difference & am often left isolated in groups as well as I notice these guys command the room despite being docile and not very loud, in fact not even assertive. Whereas I am confident & assertive.

I have noticed this issue replicating itself throughout my life in a variety of social circles. When a guy with a higher SMV comes, attention moves from me no matter how interesting the subject I am is.

Man I feel so fucked & lonely atm. What do I do?
