Two things to realize:

First, the concept of love is foreign to the female mind. They have to take from a man to bring up their children successfully while a man has to give to a woman to bring up his, which makes love a male concept.

Second, they resent us for our ability to provide and to care, so for being the true manifestation of the humane principle, and so try to turn our strengths into weakness. Like a jealous monkey looking at a man's hut and tools, smashing the tools and destroying the hut.

Those two explain their overall mindset and can easily explain how every kindness you show them will turn them against you.

Women don't love men, they love what they can DO for them. With that attitude, men are like possessions such as cars. The man that helps her through college is like that first beaten-up car you have when you move away from home to go to school, and when you're done with school and it's on it's last legs, you dump that shit and use the career money to buy something better.

MAYBE you feel a little bad about junking the old car, but they shiny NEW car makes those feelings go away until they disappear altogether. None of the miles you got out of that old car matter, because what has it done for you lately?

Bottom line, just replace a man with a toaster in a woman's mind, and her behavior becomes entirely clear.
