Hmm, I would say that men are also biologically engineered to want to have sex early and often with as many different women as possible.

As gatekeepers of sex women will try to demand as high a price as possible. So, if a woman can get a man to marry her and extract his wealth from him, all for sex, then she'll absolutely do it.

The key for men is to extract the sex without paying such a high price. Live MGTOW and be everything that a high status male is, which attracts the women you would want to have sex with, and give the impression that you're willing to pay the high price for as long as you're interested, right up until you don't.

I'm just saying that nature has a say in all of this, and women know how to leverage that, so it's good to understand that and know how to handle it or how to incorporate your own leverage for your own benefit. And always use protection.

Because the man used to choose whom he wanted to marry. This is because he had his own fortune. He'd go to her parents and offer to take her hand. After that he'd provide information on his assets, his family and his character. If everyone agreed, her parents would pay dowry. The couple would marry and open a household with assets offered from both families. The bride's family wanted to raise a good daughter which would be as attractive as possible (not just in looks) in order to attract good candidates and build a successful family to carry the line.

I think at some point this kind of mentality simply changed over time and we end up with "men make the first move".

Because we are programmed to think in here and now, not about distant future and possibilities. A man doesn't think that the young beautiful woman in front of him will transform into an old bitter hag before very long, a woman doesn't think about the lifetime of utility the man in front of her could provide her if he doesn't have vast resources right now. So the deciding factor is the sex drive and we have much a stronger sex drive than women do.

If a man rejects a female suitor, there's likely many men immediately interested in that woman. If a woman rejects a male suitor, there's likely not many women interested in that man. So it's men who have to put in the effort in chasing women.

Keep in mind that our society has been rapidly changing in the last 200 years, and was agricultural for only about 10000 years before that; much of how we behave was shaped when we were still hunter-gatherers.

Due to the advent of courtly love is when men are to chase women. See there was a slight problem in the 9th and 10th centuries. It seems like a boring chore to have to participate in such a process. Women are not interesting enough for me to chase after them. Barely interesting enough for me to even look in their direction, really. Advertising/MSM tells men and women that women are meant to be chased and bought in the way of mountains of wasteful spending on: jewelry (useless baubles), overpriced meals, overpriced flowers, and pretty much anything that is useless and overpriced that a sucker will pay for.

Companies see that their marketing campaign is helping their sales skyrocket and as a result invest more in their marketing department.

Women's magazines are now getting even more ad money from the companies and are encouraged to write even more outlandish articles about women being princesses and entitled to the royal treatment.

Let's not forget that men choose their mate based on physical looks and attraction while women choose men based on how much resources he has (Chad is for later when the Beta male is already tricked into mating with her).

Also, since men bore the brunt of the fighting and dying, there would be a FAR greater imbalance of men to women. 10 women to 1 successful man would mean 10 babies that would likely survive to reproduce. 10 men to 1 woman would mean a lot of murdering and men refusing to take care of her as "it's not my child". Polygamous women with a bastard would be outcast and die as a pregnant woman without a man to help the clan would be "yet another mouth to feed" for a decade and would strain the clan resources; the polygamous man would only accept as many wives as he could afford (usually one as most men couldn't afford more than one).

If anything the females peacock around the most successful men (make-up, fashion, gratuitous lies) in order to attract him, not the other way around. Otherwise, men would wear makeup and act like women. The age of abundance has allowed women to be sluts and survive (off of other people's tax money) and has twisted the original social balance.

Men are "supposed" to chase women because we have higher sex drives and more willing to fuck anything that walks. Also, approaching is a sign of masculinity and confidence. So, it is attractive to women, plus it makes women feel attractive.

Everything else doesn't matter in terms of the mechanics involved.

Women are more selective because they can only successfully mate once every 10-11 months and in doing so they take on a lot of risks. The reason they want to mate with alpha males and live with beta males is because alphas are more likely to produce stronger / healthier offspring, whereas beta males are more likely to raise better offspring / be better providers.

To put it another way, men are less selective because, unlike women, men can successfully mate every day and not risk very much by doing so.

I mean, there's also the matter of overall aggression, but really men are only about 20% more aggressive, on average, in overall aggression, I think. So, mostly it's about women and how their minds literally go through a much more selective process when identifying potential partners because of the risks to her health, the risks to the offspring health, the risk to her resources if the offspring is unhealthy, her window of opportunity, etc and so forth.

And to a lesser extent, it gives them the upper hand, at least to begin with.

If a man approaches a woman, even if she accepts the invitation, she can act how the fuck ever she wants and she can always go "he chose me" ie: He was asking for it. ie: It wasn't me.

It also gives them an attention rush and it also makes them feel powerful. If you had 5 employers after you, you can take an offer still knowing that you have other options if you blow it. Then you can always blame the employer for choosing poorly if/when you fail.

The people that look 'good' on the surface (resume) may be a terrible employee. But they can always go "You chose me" instead of "yeah I have a degree but I can't do my job".
