Yeah if you rad the article, will take into account that there’s of 60-40 split of women to men. Then they point out that women owe more than 60% of the debt. That’s where they bring up the wage gap.
Not condoning it, but please read the article. If not we’re no different than the rest of reddit: coming to conclusions based on title alone.

Some years ago I saw an article that also showed the per person debt of men who went to university was less than women's. It quoted research showing men were more likely to work while studying, contributing to lower debt. Today, men still attend the sciences-more expensive tuition/books, but still have per capita less debt. Either they are still working more while studying, or are less frivolous spenders. Either way, women having more total debt is because women attend university more. Evidence still suggests men are more responsible and therefore I don't support 'helping women out of debt'.

It’s the wise life choices of women. Their emotional competence and economic foresight. Their superiority. Their diligence and devotion. They are blocking 62% of all resources. Her degrees in feminist dance theory and underwater basket weaving did not help her land a job as the CEO of a successful multi national company so now she is now a barista at Starcucks .Meanwhile her brother spent 5000 dollars to go to trade school and is on 50,000 a year . Colour me surprised.....
