well before you drop out completely, buy a van, turn it into a small house, travel and work odd jobs. for like a year, just focus on you. this from a 40yo that wished I had done this when I was 20. I'm assuming you're 20ish since youre still in college. just might put things in perspective. /r/vandwellers has a lot of info on that kind of thing. just my opinion.

After you drop out, and raise your kids, then what? You'll likely be unhappy. Follow your dreams, don't get trapped, 4.5 years of learning things is nothing compared to the rest of your life being below average. But, as always, go your own way. This is just my opinion

In my mid 20s, I came to the realisation that society didn't give a shit about me and that all I was to them was more meat to throw into the meat grinder.

So what did I do?

Dumped my girlfriend, quit my job, went back to university and got a better education. After leaving university I worked on my new career and secured my position, got a nice car, now live in a newly built house and have all the time and money in the world to do whatever I want.

And it was all thanks to the decision I made less than 10 years ago.

That's what I did, you have to decide what you're going to do with your life, because there are many good paths to walk down.

I’m on my 4th year of college wondering if and/or when I should do something different, and I too have no interest in money. If anything, while I’m happy to have a consistently good amount of it, I’m too scared to spend money in the first place, mainly because I don’t know too much about it. Even getting a ten dollar anything fills me with worry for awhile about how else those ten dollars could have been used, and if it would affect me in the long run. I’ve only had one actual job that wasn’t volunteer work, and that was about a year or two ago, and that money has already been used for my education + one or four things I wanted. (My parents help a lot and I’m grateful for them)

I'm 35 and don't really care about money either, I never have. I didn't go to college until I was 33 and I did because a) I found something interesting wanted to do, b) living paycheck to paycheck really sucks and traps you into dong shit you don't want to do. If you are feeling this way then you probably aren't trying to go into something you really want to do.

I do that now. I work from home half the time.. which literally means browsing the internet, gaming, etc. But making bank. Plenty of opportunities out there. No need to drop out (i work in IT fyi)
