After gym today, I saw the cute girl from gym grabbing Chinese take out near where I work out. We made eye contact at the gym today but I didn't engage then.
I see she's waiting for her food so I walked up to her and said hi and pretended to be surprised she's grabbing fried noodles right after gym. Blah blah blah she said it doesn't matter, not like she needs to cut weight. She's at the gym to build muscle.
Because today was the first day I saw her at the gym, I resorted to the old "I don't see you often. Are you new" sentence. She answered and i went blank.
I keep going blank when approaching. So I just told her, and the previous like 5 girls I've approached, that I am in a hurry but I'll grab her number. They do give me their number and it's real but I feel like I don't leave much of an impression. The only impression might be that I actually approached them on the streets.
Am I avoiding an uncomfortable situation and using a blank mind as excuse? I really went blank.. I told myself next time I will not use the "I got to go" line and try to hang out right then and there.
Any advice is much appreciated. If you've overcome this personally, please teach me
