Posted on here few times now and long story short uni flatmate invited her best friends over that live quite far away and we all went out together but one of them was too drunk to get into the club so we all came back to flat and everyone but me and ‘abbey’ decided to go out alone as everyone wanted to sleep.

We ended up walking around the city 2am - 5am just talking which was cool then we got back to the flat and we did stuff and she stayed the night.

During it all she mentioned something like ‘I shouldn’t be doing this’ I asked what then she said ‘it’s not me it’s something to do with you’ then said ‘it’s not my place to say’ which confused me.

Anyway few days later me and flatmate went out with few others n she told me whilst drunk that she likes me etc which makes sense what Abbey said to me few days earlier.

But the problem is I like abbey and not my flatmate and even though she lives miles away I would still like to try things with her n see where it goes but my flatmate told me she got mad n upset at her for getting with me that night as she had spoken about me loads and she knew that she liked me and went behind her back.

Flatmate is honestly beautiful but not so sure on her personality, unfortunately I had a bit too much to drink and told her I liked her back, obviously she won’t be the ‘middleman’ as that would be awkward but the plan I’m thinking is I will talk to her and say something like ‘we can’t really be together when I like your best friend too’ and maybe that will make her say something to abbey and let her know that I like her.

I know it sounds childish but to me feels like the only option right now, if anyone has any advice I would appreciate it!
