If you take a step back and think about it, it's not actually funny at all. There's nothing funny about being stuck with a bitch who makes your life miserable and stressful. It's one of the most awful things a person can go through because they're slowly dying, literally. Many people underestimate how stress can negatively affect one's health. One of my uncles passed away because his wife kept fucking nagging at him to the point where his health started deteriorating due to stress. Every time I come visit him, you can see it in his eyes that he just wanted to die. The same thing is happening to my dad. My dad is stressed in his second marriage because his wife is giving him shit. When I go see him, I see the same thing that I saw from my uncle: depression, complications of the kidneys, high blood pressure, and always being tired. But the most horrible part of it are his eyes. They look so sad and hopeless that I can tell he just want to die. No one knows what it feels like to be stuck with a person who makes your life miserable until it is too late.

Oh I apologize, it was funny to me but yes, is horrible for any man stuck in it.
I know I shoudn't laugh, but at this point I have seen so many friends and other guys in general allow the3mselves to have a horrible life in order to "keep" a girl they think makes their life complete.
At this point, it seems that only personal experience can break that from guy to guy. It worked for me, had "the one" that literally was juts flat out mean, cheated, lied and put everything on my back.
BUT, I learned a lot about myself and about what I want from a woman from that relationship. I wouldn't take back what happened for anything. Sadly, I think a lot of guys never learn from it.

If he wanted to go to prison to escape her, then why did you he do something that would cause harm to people not involved with his misery by robbing a bank?
His goal could have easily been acheived without hurting anyone not involved in his misery, by killing the bitch who makes his life hell.
Not saying I advocate, but his actions and thinking are illogical.

Who says he even harmed someone?
You could go in a bank and hand them a note saying give them your money. They hit the silent alarm, maybe give you some money if they're afraid. You walk right outside and sit quietly on the curb and wait for the police. If you're committing a crime so you're jailed on purpose you're not gonna resist or flee.

taking peoples property is a kind of harm. Putting a bank teller in that situation is emotional harm.
The people using the bank lost no money, but the bank did, and as much of it as they may have, that does not justify taking it as "harmless".

If he was sitting right outside the police come and take the money back and then return it. Assuming he was committing a crime solely so he could be jailed and not because of any benefit derived from the crime it would have gone something like that.
Obviously it would be better if he went MGTOW so he didn't get stuck in a situation where intentionally jailing himself for years on a felony charge was actually better than the alternative but you'd be surprised how often men get desperate enough for these sorts of things.

That's not how it works, the money is evidence and must be taken as such, the bank has to claim insurance, and the cash will sit in evidence until it has been used as evidence and then claimed.
I was working once and our store got robbed, in addition to the cash in the til he took my crappy laptop I used for tv at work, he dropped it outside fleeing, however despite his failure to actually steal it, the police would not let me have it back, they required that it be taken as evidence, and it took me three months to get it back, and at that point I was screaming at an officer that if they didn't return my fucking property I was going to charge them for theft as they had taken my property out of my hands and refused to return it.
