Very very nice read, especially since I'm at that point of "trying to make fast money" since I wasted so much of my youth bullshitting around, especially number 3. I see so many guys on here having success that I just get defeated and a overwhelming feeling of self-doubt and hopelessness.

Now I'm realizing I just need to be patient, build some skills and quit all this self-pity shit, I have no kids so there's no reasons for me to not get my shit together.

I'm really glad you posted this article, brought me back down to earth after feeling very shitty about where my life is heading. I have intentions on starting my own business by at least summer of 2k18 and I'm very confident everything is going to work out.

Just wish I found MGTOW at least 6 years earlier (26 now).

Money made fast is a high risk, low-medium reward and is only short term which is why the majority of/all people who win the lottery end up broke and filing for bankruptcy a few years later.

This is SHILLING/SPAM crap and ought to be removed.

That said... there are a SHITLOAD of problems with this piece.

First it's failure to define "Fast."

Because it's a relatively ambiguous adjective, one that (by definition) has a very wide range... and is ultimately pretty damned "subjective."

Ironically, the younger a person is, the more likely they are to defined the word in very SHORT time-frames: ergo "fast" to an teenager is defined in days or even hours... at most, in weeks; to a twenty-something it's more likely to be defined in weeks or months, and probably a year or so at the outside; to someone that is middle-aged (>35, >40+ yrs) it's probably defined as a few, couple, even several of years, possibly even a decade.

Since the author of the piece DOESN'T seem to specify... well that alone tells me they are most likely a "twentysomething" (that's generally the "arrogant/ignorant" age range -- the "[think] they know enough [to be dangerous]" stage of life)... and moreover that the chief goals of this piece (other than, ironically enough, an attempt to make some "quick" money by selling BS) is to rationalize away WHY the author's earlier/prior attempts to "get rich quick" failed, and why at his current age (probably just shy of 30) he's having to revise his life-plan, and backpedal to a "get rich a bit less quickly."

Second is a similar problem, the failure to define "Money"

And I don't mean in the sense of "medium of exchange" -- rather that the author fails to define what he means in terms of QUANTITY of money that will be acquired "fast."

It is, after all one thing to want to obtain a "quick" yet relatively "normal" amount of money: to wit for a teen to want to make $10 fast; or an adult wanting to make a few hundred dollars quickly.
It is quite another for a person to think they should be able to make "millions" (of dollars) in an instant and with little or no effort or risk.
And of course there is a whole spectrum or range in between -- some of which MAY indeed be not only possible, but practical. Significantly large sums of money CAN (and indeed ARE) often "made" relatively fast; but of course the converse is also true: many times, and via the same mechanisms, large sums of money CAN also be "lost" relatively fast as well.
But it is important to note, the very SAME things -- both gains AND losses -- CAN also occur S-L-O-W-L-Y. Just because one is reticent to take on higher levels of "risk" does not mean they will not suffer "losses" (the classic example is of course putting money into a "savings account" -- the interest earned is seldom able to even keep pace with inflation, and so while a nominal gain MAY be present, in real terms it has incurred ab actual loss; the same is true, but even more so in holding plain currency or "cash" in non-interest bearing accounts {which alas these days -- due to the artificially low interest rate monetary policies [aka ZIRP] -- is nearly ALL "bank" accounts, whether designated as "savings" or not}).

Several additional fallacies in this article, back that up; beginning with:

Do you think your time on this planet is running out?

Factually, the answer to this question is: Yes it is. Anyone who answers differently* is -- to be blunt about it -- delusional.

Any money that you make in such a fast way due to your impatience, will be lost just as fast for the same reason.

This simply isn't true as a general thing.

To be sure "lottery winners" generally DO squander their winnings, but it isn't because the winnings happened FAST; it's because the money came with ZERO effort and because it came in one (often really LARGE) "lump sum", moreover it's because it comes as a unexpected "windfall" (and even the characterization of it as "winnings" doesn't help).

But not all money that is "made quickly" ends up being squandered; nor is the converse true either -- money that is made "slowly" is at least as subject to being squandered away -- the author seems entirely unfamiliar with the concept of the "hedonic treadmill." The plain truth of the matter is that MOST PEOPLE squander money regardless of how they come by it: whether fast OR slow; whether "earned" or gained via some "windfall."

Ergo what matters is not the speed (or slowness) with which money is made -- but the underlying mindset of the person who makes it:

Do they have a "frugal" mindset? But yet not SO "frugal" that they eschew ALL "risk" (and thus all investment/rewards).
Or do they have a "spendthrift/entitlement" mindset? (Not just "impulsive"; but the inability to "delay gratification" -- preferring to each the ONE marshmallow now, rather than wait for the chance to eat TWO marshmallows.)

The former is unlikely to squander money regardless of the speed with which it is acquired; whereas the latter will squander it however it comes (and indeed, if given the opportunity to use credit/debt, will probably squander it in advance).

It is only those who lack in self confidence who look for ways to make money fast and then spend it frivolously because they don’t know when they will ever get it again.

This is a double fallacy. And linking the two -- LACK of self-confidence with frivolous spending -- is pure bullshit as well.

In fact, the opposite is often true: People with exaggerated or HIGH levels of "self-confidence" are very often far MORE inclined to engage in "frivolous spending" -- whereas people who LACK self-confidence can in fact be quite frugal. There really is NO correlation of these, much less can it be asserted (at least with any basis in fact) to be a direct CAUSATIVE relationship.

What seems MOST likely here is that the author is trying to rationalize away his/her OWN previous "frivolous spending" by equating it with his/her previous "lack of self confidence." Ergo he/she sees the two as being inextricably "linked" -- as indeed in the author's case, they might very well be -- but generalizing that out onto others is merely "projecting" (it's extrapolating from a single data point; which is a common, but nevertheless absurd method of reasoning).

Moreover, it is very likely that the author is now engaged in the opposite form of rationalization -- having engaged in some self-examination and various exercises to "build" self-esteem (or at least the pretense of it) -- AND at the same time probably having "vowed" to no longer engage in frivolous spending (as was no doubt the prior habit) -- he/she is now CONVINCED that the two will be inextricably linked in the OPPOSITE fashion.

This is more than somewhat ironic -- as indeed is the fact that in the sidebar, the TOP other blog entry by the same author is entitled "Avoid Fake People and NEVER Fake it Until You Make It" -- ROTFLMAO -- ironic in that I would posit the entire blog is prima facie evidence that THAT is exactly what the author is currently engaged in... "faking it" (both self confidence AND frugality AND the "illusion/delusion" that he is -- now, finally {after having squandered a decade of life trying to make money "fast" and then blowing it even faster} -- on the path to being frugal and slowly building his wealth {which may or may NOT be true; since we are creatures of habit the author is in fact most likely to repeat the prior pattern, regardless of the hamsterizing to the contrary}). To wit: starting a blog and shilling/promoting that you have some "Secrets to Wealth" to SELL, is in fact a very COMMON tactic used by con-artists to try to obtain money fast (and occasionally they succeed -- most often though, they actually fail, abysmally).

Really, while the "article" (if it can even be called that) does contain some "truths" -- it is also filled with a plethora of fallaciously asserted (entirely unsupported) BULLSHIT -- and in the end there is NOTHING of substance here... just relatively banal generalized statements, and vague "promises" of "secrets" (i.e. clickbait... the goal of which is no doubt to attempt to sell the reader on some "book" or "seminar" from this "guru" LOL).

* Or indeed even asks the question in this rhetorical manner. That includes the author, who -- simply via this one line, proves that s/he is still fairly young (believes s/he is "immortal"; doubtless exaggerates the shit out of his/her "life experience" {to say nothing of exaggerating their "investing savvy" etc}.)
