My step-mum is the closest I can think on (bio mum may have been a decent human being too but she died when I was quite young.)

Worked hard, fiercely loyal and a pragmatist. Not the nurturing kind; had a tough life and when my dad and her could have finally kicked back and enjoy life she met a guy called Alzheimer's. Sucks really.

A good share of 6-10 year olds used to be nice enough, at least in the generations before 2000.

Once they start considering themselves as mature they stop respecting everything.

My late mom. She was a fucking angel that nobody deserved. She worked her ass off since she was a kid for her family, she essentially raised ALL the kids of her 2 sisters almost by herself (they "had" to work and earn big with their husbands, and my mom was also working), she "raised" her best friend too (aka forced the dumbass to get her life in order) and then devoted the rest of her life to her family.

Never asked for anything from anyone in return and as it turns out, none of these assholes cared about her. Nobody was there when she was at her lowest.

Typical example of a person who worked their ass off for everyone else and not even a tiny thank you in return, all the way to the grave.

My mom as well. But I'm pretty sure she was awalt before she met my dad (26). Basically she planned on being independent and never get married, met my dad and fell in love. But he clearly outlined that he needed a wife to cook and clean and iron his clothes. No exaggeration. He basically made an ultimatum bu being honest about his culture and what he wanted. She caved and has been complaining about it ever since.

I think the only leverage my mom had ovee my dad was she held off having a second child for 7 years despite my dad desperately wanting a son. To be far, pregnancies are hard on your body amd mental health. She hemorrhaged during both births. And she didn't give my dad a son til after he moved her out of his 3rd world country starting up a civil war.... Not too unreasonable.

Other than that, she's been a pretty stellar mother. And my dads no prize either. Kinda emotionally abusive when he drinks.

Sister - She's 29, already with her BF since she's 20. Bought a house, doesn't want to marry. Earns more than him and has better social skills. She was heavily impacted by my Borderline mom and realized this is not how she would live her life. She's smart, kind of pretty, loyal and kind.. My other sister is her opposite.
