I’ve heard some dissenting opinions on whether or not a man can declare himself MGTOW without having been in a serious relationship that went south.

It’s the idea that a “true” MGTOW has been burnt multiple times by women and has earned the life experience to back up his decision.

A lonely virgin can’t claim to have been burnt by any woman; aside from being socially-rejected. He can make assumptions about what a relationship is like and why he wouldn’t want to have it, but one could argue that he wouldn’t be qualified to come to that conclusion if he hasn’t actually been in an intimate relationship.

Would you be less likely to take the advice of MGTOW who hadn’t had sex before? Would their opinion be less valid, and should someone not claim to be MGTOW before they’ve had more negative experiences with women?
