Additionally, you have seen friends acting as the back up man and while with a girl, seen the back up men in her phone and such. At least I have.

edit: I mean goddamn, I really don't know how you're supposed to date in the modern era tbh. Between apps and social media, women are talking to dozens of guys at any given time, and effortlessly at that. Even if we give her the benefit of the doubt at the outset, that level of temptation will result in a grass is greener situation and fuck with her head. If I had that level of temptation i'm sure i'd have trouble with monogamy too, so i'm not even pretending it's only applicable to women, but rather they're the only group that can reliably get that level of attention regularly
