Just speculative, judging from her career history. She went from enlisted to officer. From my experience that is something that doesn’t happen unless you are a favorite and maybe getting special treatment. Then she was most likely advanced under less standards of things like leadership and teamwork. Because of the favorable treatment she didn’t learn skills needed to command a large crew.
Most likely she can back to the fleet from a desk job and “power triped” being her first command. She had something to prove. Harpers ferry has been around a long time and the officers chiefs and enlisted most likely knew how things worked much better than a fresh out of supply command officer with a bloated sense of accomplishment.
She was a subordinate in all of her prior assignments, this was her first command. Not only that but the ship was being or just out of being refitted in the yards. This is most likely what did her in. Having command is tough enough. Having a command in the yards is or just coming out of the yards is a lot of work. Many multiple dynamic projects are happening at once. Many extra tasks and suites ore being required of the crew. Many extra hours are being worked. Not only that but after being in the yards the ship must do the qualifying for sea training. More long extra hours. Crew morale is usually down.
Factor in her lack of recent sea time, a fresh command, and a salty crew. She most likely did not respect her officers and crew and pushed forward for fame and recognition instead of being realistic. Most likely being a favorite and getting special treatment for having a vagina did not prepare her to be a leader. Effective leadership is not something that can be given to you for having a cunt. It’s a skill that is learned and one must have talent to be good at it.
