Prostitution is only illegal because normal women don't want to deal with competition. Just like with drugs, if you actually cared about the victims, the last thing you want to do is drive it underground. It's not about the victims (no woman gives two shits about some prostitute). It's about eliminating competition from the market.

All women are prostitutes because all sex is transactional for women. Nothing wrong with that, but that’s just how it is.

Doesn’t matter if it’s money, free food, validation, social standing, or whatever. There’s always a deal on the table whether you know it or not.

Marriage is a trade for more-than and other-than sex, though: breeding-protection for permission. It fails when permit is rescinded/violated AND when guard falters/is-violated. This isn't prostitution in the modern liscivious manner, nor is it general license; it is a covenant-style pairwise contract for procreation: mutually and perpetually bilateral and intentional. And it is hard. Marriage is ONE voluntary license and ONE voluntary order of protection, together exchanged, and maintained by two ongoing sheer wills. In contrast, prostitution is a short term contract for sex, and producing children is not part or is specifically excluded.

Only as a late-comer, does law get in and muck about with these things, usually in the interest of some popular social issue... "civility", "'equal' rights", "for the children", etc. Thus the West has broken its legal version of marriage, as best it can; and it has largely legalized prostitution (as long as you take pictures). MGTOW in its best form, is a reaction to this break of marriage, AFAI can tell. Relatable. Understandable.

But marriage has no meaningful relation to prostitution.
