Well he gets to buy a nice utility van to live in, and work his ass off so you and the kids can stay warm in that big house. You don't know what you'll want in 10 years. I think what you're referring to is manipulation. People manipulate other people all the time, consciously and unconsciously, man or woman. Men are more susceptible to manipulation from a woman, especially an attractive one. Feminine poise can really disarm a man.
A broken clock is right twice a day. You might be happy today, but maybe you meet a wealthy man through work and suddenly your boyfriend isn't looking so good anymore. Kids are expensive, and your boyfriend's salary might not cut it.
Yeah, and maybe that makes me not a 'true' MGTOW but my criteria is pretty fucking strict so I doubt I'll meet anybody who fits it anyway.
Sometimes I think they're just ugly misandric women who date other women because they hate men and couldn't land a decent one if they tried. I'm sure there's plenty that don't fit that stereotype but I've yet to meet any.
Frustration with modern courtship and dating. As a man, I'd be expected to do everything even though the benefits are shared. Romance is something a man creates for women to enjoy, not the other way around. Sounds like a pain in the ass. You never know if a girl is just some slut who wants to use you as a utility. Looking for a good girlfriend makes me feel desperate, since most women fit into one of these categories: fat, promiscuous, trashy, spoilt, psychotic, or gross. I've always been a skeptic, and from an early age it was obvious how FUCKED men were getting by marriage. Either they were divorced by their wives because they leeched off of them enough or the man is a miserable servant. Not to mention I look down upon most girls. Being an attractive young woman is a tremendous amount of power, and they squander it.

From reading your responses in the comments it just seems you guys are fuckbuddies who chill together a lot instead of actually being in a relationship and trying to actually move in together and be married and be around each other 24/7. being LDR is all well and good but being around each other every single day... that's when the true test starts.

You may not say you would do that now, but the thought will occur to you, eventually, if you stay together and move in together. And you may not nag for money now, but children are a different story, as well as other life changes that may be in the works.
Nah. After being with a woman with crippling insecurities and anxiety and spending so much money it was ridiculous on her, never again, with any woman. Much less children. Euuugh. Having careful sex with random women is an entirely different thing, but I'd honestly rather keep it in my pants and not get STDs.

I'm 25 and on the MGTOW train. Some of these guys who are here are way older than me and have way more relationship experience. If I hopped on this after seeing a woman who I thought cared for me discard me like a piece of trash after taking care of her for 7 years, it's unthinkable to even think anyone knows how much these other men here have been through with multiple women, getting the same result every time.

Hi inkonfire, I think you deserve some honest answers.

Not everyone here is mature. I had pitchforks pointed at me suggesting 15 year old boys can't be MGTOW. They're not "Men" after all but my low post count suggests I don't know what I'm talking about. Apparently I'm trying to divide people.

You are a student and a freelance writer. Great, life hasn't hit you get. Most men I know, work really hard. We have to work harder than women and often have to do shit jobs. Winter time snow and slush outside, who's freezing and pushing the shopping carts? Man. Who's inside warm and operating the cash? Women. Who's in the sewer? Man. Who's in the air conditioned office stapling and using Facebook? Woman.

Yet woman have the audacity to claim they are getting paid less for the same jobs? I have never seen a woman get paid less for EQUAL work in my 20 year career. In fact, time and time again I see women getting promoted by other women while working only 2 hours a day. Do you know how frustrating this can be for a highly productive person? We quit and then things go to shit.

This is what's happening with MGTOW. Men are quitting and things are going to shit. Women are no prize for us. The good news for us, we're won't be part of the forest fire. Men are resilient, intelligent and resourceful.

Make no mistake. I am not MGTOW because of 1 monster women. I am MGTOW after watching beautiful, kind, and helpful men get ruined. I am MGTOW After realizing 100% of my problems are originating from women.

I personally believe that you're in a happy place right now are taking precautions to prevent your boyfriend from becoming MGTOW. Good for you except that he will one day NEVER want to see your face again. You will be the reason.

it's not about laws. It's not about divorce. it's about biology. The point is that men are willing to sacrifice themselves in ways that women won't reciprocate. The most extreme example is death. For instance, in some dimorphic species like the praying mantis, the male sacrifices his life for a shot at reproduction.

Closer to home, how many men die for their wives and girlfriends and how many the other way around? A few years ago when that shooter lit up the movie theatre for the Batman movie in Colorado, how many girls jumped in front of the bullets for the boyfriends, and how many the other way around? Go find the old news article and count the bodies.

There's biology at work that make the sexual relationship asymmetrical in terms of what's required. The male is almost always required to give more, do more, sometimes to the point of death.

But as far as would I give a woman a chance at this point? The answer is no. I know what's required. I just think it's fundamentally unfair - not just for the human ape, but for almost all sexually dimorphic species on the planet.

If you mean fooling a man into believing that a woman actually cares about him, no, that is not universal. Manipulation is a learned skilled. But manipulation also requires a willing victim. Yes, not every woman is a gold digger. I don't think any guy on here literally believes that 100% of every woman is a scientifically verified lazy gold digger. What we discuss on this sub are tangibilities. It's one thing to theorize about, for example, extraterestrial life, another thing to actually prove it. In the same breath, many men on here have never once had women love them for them, their personalities or because they're so nice to be around. Which is why you'll hear the theme here often - Chad or Beta bux. Meaning women typically (or always based on experiences) only want sex with an attractive partner or sustenance.

Manipulation tactics seem to be very common in a lot of relationships I've observed. I tend to find that the women who don't seem to be manipulative are the ones that are able to mask it very well. That isn't to say that women are the only ones capable of manipulation, of course, all that we do here is point out how female manipulation is so much the norm, that it's "okay" for women to do it and get away with it.

Your boyfriend can love you all he wants, that's his choice and his problem to deal with, not mine. I'm all about taking personal responsibility for your own actions, so it's not up to me to decide if he feels tricked or not, that's up to him to decide and own up to.

I have seen it mentioned many times that all women are lazy/golddiggers/only want men for their money and don't actually want to work. Personally, I find great joy in my work (currently, I work in publishing and freelance writing), and while I know I have not set myself up for a huge paycheck, I am satisfied knowing I will be happy with that. My boyfriend, too, has prepared for a modest job and lifestyle. Do you have explanations for women like me who like work and don't nag their boyfriends for money?

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and take your word for it. So, with that in mind, if you are truly the unicorn you believe yourself to be, know that you are extremely rare in a society filled with a group of people who are encouraged to be assholes and are able to get away with it due to societal beliefs that women can do no wrong.

Really think about it, think about how many people who aren't MGTOW who aren't in relationships. It's a hell of a lot more people than you think. Most people in the world aren't able to find anyone to start a long lasting relationship, and you're trying to convince us that out of the people who are left, we should be trying to find the "you" in a crowd of assholes.

Why would I waste my time with that? I have better things to do with my time on this planet.

Nope. Due to my MGTOW lifestyle, I've discovered that I have the time, money and freedom to do anything I want with my life. I have a great house, a great car, a great career and every single day I do the things I enjoy doing. Tying myself down in a relationship and changing what I have now is the last thing I want to do.

I don't care. I don't care about all the other couples or single people out there. Whatever happens in their relationships is their business, I'm just looking out for myself and doing what's best for me.

I didn't "join" anything. I made a concious decision in my early 20s to stop chasing women, focus on my work, my education and improving myself. After a while I realised that I had reached a point where I had everything I wanted in life and was finally happy and proud of everything I achieved.

I didn't realise it until recently, but I was living the MGTOW lifestyle without knowing what MGTOW was. In fact, I know a lot of other guys around me who are doing the same thing. There are so many men out there who are rejecting relationships altogether because they find women to be a burden on their lives.

That's just the way things are now.
