MGTOW is more of a philosophy than a movement. There are married men who call themselves MGTOW. There are gay and straight men who call themselves MGTOW. There are conservatives and liberals who call themselves MGTOW. There are virgins and non-virgins who call themselves MGTOW.

The purpose of MGTOW is not to hate anyone. The concept of MGTOW is to live a healthy physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental life without worrying about violating social norms.

Women are never satisfied. The same way you grow a tolerance to a drug, women are always looking for something better, specifically something that makes them feel better. In a world where the average woman can choose from hundreds of thirsty men at the swipe of her finger, there is no reason for a woman to commit anymore.

And then there is feminism, telling women they can do whatever they want, and the government backs them up.

We are lowering the bar for the police, firefighters, and the military all because women want to FEEL included. It's not necessarily about hating women, it's realizing that the world is fucked, and that women are not what we were brought up to believe they are. All a man can do is step out of society and laugh as it burns to the ground, all because of women.

Reframing and practicing a new perspective. For me I'm not ruling out meaningful relationships but I am deemphasizing female approval and the need to be in a relationship to feel worthy or validated. I'm also denying and rejecting the dishonest double standards whereby women get to judge a male date's worth on their wallet and strict standards of looks, while men are expected to accept any and all female types and behaviors.

Also, a lot of those here, especially the over 30 crowd have been legitimately burnt and hurt by relationships where reciprocal responsibility and expectations were one sided in favor of the female.

Because womyn can only offer sex and stress in return for your resources in a relationship. Marriage fucks men over, child support fucks men over, the system is rigged against men. I'm 18 so I never had any relationships with womyn to begin with, I just saw how they acted and how real MGTOW philosophy is. You can't lose if you don't play the game.

That the men here are turned off to women in general or that they hate women based on “. . . one bad relationship or even a few” is a false assumption on your part. The MGTOW that I know don't "hate women." Their decision to become MGTOW was based upon years, sometimes decades, of personal experience and observation. They carefully weighed the benefits of a relationship against the return on the financial and emotional investment and reached the conclusion that it just wasn't worth it.
Let's assume you like M&M's and I gave you a bowl of 50 of them,. Would you eat them? If I gave you a bowl of 50 M&M's and truthfully told you that the chocolate center of one of them contained a poison that would cause you to die a slow painful death, would you still eat them? What if I told you that the poison wouldn't kill you, but it would leave you permanently and severely crippled or disabled, would you still eat them? What if I told you that there was a readily available antidote to the poison that would leave you physically recovered without any side effects, but that the antidote would cost you your job, your car, your home, and everything you had in your bank account, would you still eat them?
Out of 50 women, you will be hard pressed to find even one who is not suffering from some mental illness or personality disorder that represents a serious threat to your personal safety and well-being. Make-up and provocative attire are the equivalent to the colorful candy shell on the M&M's. Sex, or the implied promise of it, is equivalent to the poisoned chocolate center.
Yes, you are in the minority, and it is obvious you are very inexperienced. I think you need to do a little more personal research before asking the questions and reaching the assumptions you've expressed here.

I stumbled across this place from a post on /sadcringe, a few things I'm wondering - alot of the guys on here seem like they've had bad experiences with women or have been hurt - are any/many of you in relationships now? Do you really think all women are bad?

You can't really think that's true, right. For as many women who Swipe and want something better there are just as many men.

People can be shitty regardless of Gender.
