This same shit happens here (US) as well. Deadbeat assholes who don't pay rent and are evicted are all "victims" of evil landlords who - get this - demand rent every month. Not just every now and then....EVERY. SINGLE. FUCKING. MONTH!!!!! These landlords are heartless monsters, I tell ya!!

So she was told that the landlord might want her to leave and in protest she stopped paying rent... making it really easy to evict her. What an accommodating person!

She's not wrong, in the sense that Vancouver rents are absolutely insane. That anyone is struggling with them is not news, it's a given.

But no matter how unfair the situation may be... duh. If you can't make rent, you're gonna get evicted. Like, what did you expect???
