So at this time in my life I'm not looking for a relationship, set on never having kids and also protective of my time and what and who I'll spend it on.

A while back I meet this guy through playing sports who was a bit younger than me (early twenties) who has a long term girlfriend and two kids. After a while we became acquaintances and I would go around to his place to hangout or work out. Until then I had not really meet his partner or kids.

His girlfriend was the standard overweight (nearing obese) loud mouth who just complains about everything. I'd be hanging out with this guy and she would come in and start complaining about having to go to the gym, complaining about the kids acting up, complaining about being tired, endless bitching and being miserable. This guy works 5-6 days a week doing manual labor while she works casual while being a stay at home mom yet has the nerve to always complain about being tired and how life is hard while her partner is doing 40+ hours weeks.

He would tell when they first met how he'd never meet someone who he'd just clicked with so perfectly and blah blah. I unfortunately accepted her request on Facebook and looking at her profile timeline is nothing but 'I love my little angel babies so much' and 'my boyfriend is my soulmate' while also posting those mommy 'I hate my screeching brats that make me drink 2 bottles of wine' memes and also subtle insults at her partner with those 'men are stupid and always let me down' meme posts. After talking to this guy for a while I found out the oldest kid isn't his and is from the girlfriends former relationship (the guy took off when she was pregnant) so he's now raising some else's kid as his own. Also her family seems pretty crazy also be it her argumentative, redneck sister or her brother who refuses to work and decided he's now transgender.

One day I was talking to this guy and he started talking to me about having a family and kids and all that. I pretty much just said I'm not interested in that life and kids are of no interest. He started doing the "I was once like you but then I meet my partner and it change the way I blagh blagh" My thoughts went to the times I've been to his house which was a trashed mess, covered in food bits and plastic kids furniture while the sounds of his fat, anxious girlfriend screeches at their screaming filthy kids while this guy sits there stoned out of his head trying to ignore it all. I picture having to live pay cheque to pay cheque, being in debt and having no free time to myself while being a wage slave to pay for someone else's kid.

I just starred off into the distance and saying "Nah, I think I'm good with the way life is hey." Being around this guy and seeing his life validates what I want and don't want in life.
