You are to some degree the product of the 5 people you spend the most time with. If you want to spend time with people who are going nowhere you will inevitably end up following in their footsteps.

The reverse applies as well, do your absolute best to spend time with successful people.

If people are putting you down with insults in front of others like that, they are using you to ensure that they will not be the bottom man. The bad news is that it usually means you are the bottom man.

You don't need people like that in your life. Alpha does not mean being an asshole. I used to have an alpha friend. Women threw themselves at this guy. This guy was always AMOG. One of the best friends I've ever had, he enriched the lives of the men around him. Always encouraging, always had your back. Never put anyone down.

This guy was the kind of alpha that one time (true story) he was walking down the street and a woman was sitting on her porch. She said hi to him and five minutes later they were screwing on her living room floor (she escalated the whole thing). And this guy was never an asshole, and never insecure.

The kind of guy that you didn't mind being AMOG. Reminds me of how some of my military friends talk about their sergeant(this friend of mine went on to be top NCO of his company).

If you got a wanna be alpha putting you down to elevate himself, he's no alpha, and he's headed for a fall sooner or later.

Next time he gives you shit, I would look at him, forcefully say (but without rage) "Shut the fuck up, bitch" in a direct and serious tone. Then hold frame, look him in the eye, and don't say or do anything until he does(psychological pause). Watch him crumble.

Or just cut the asshole out of your life with no fucks given. Either way don't be his bitch(that does not mean start a fight with the guy).

Let's just take this one at a time:

I have the idea that being friends with someone for mutual benefit, just to fit in or because they'll make me look good or some other reason other than genuinely enjoying their company is really fake, and I try to cut the people who think like that out of my life, these guys seem to be winners who "get it" but they turn out to be simple minded, miserable assholes.

You shouldn't have to settle for fake companionship. It is up to you to choose your own path. I mean I'm friends with someone who is a total beta and I still game with him and he is my best friend's little bro not to mention I have known him for over 10 years. Does that make me beta? Well it depends on whose perception.

Also I hate when guys start making fun of you and laughing at you when certain people come a long but when no-ones there they don't do it (P.S WHY DO GUYS ALWAYS DO THIS!?)

Crab mentality. Beta males hate other males who are more successful than them. Also, when a woman comes along they will put each other down. In fact, I have a friend who has an excellent framework to be an alpha and he has friends who are usually cool with him but then when they are in a bar and a girl approaches my friend his friends automatically make fun of him.

I have the idea that you should cut all those perceived ideas about male hierarchy out of the window to a certain extent, and just enjoy the other guys company, it doesn't matter if they are complete losers who you can't gain anything from, you had a good laugh and thats all that matters.

If you like the company I don't think hierarchy matters. Hierarchy matters in terms who is above and below you in a professional setting. Outside of it you are all guys who want to have fun. Although, keep ethics in mind.

So in short this isn't a beta mindset just an opinion you have. Some people like company despite status.

I have become disconnected from my brothers because I flew off to China. I suppose I am gifted because most of my friends are leaders of men and captains of industry. The weird thing is that I have bagged more and better looking women than any of them.

I know exactly what you mean, but if that were the case our species would be doomed. Ancient women would have no way of knowing who was the best and strongest, because there was no visible hierarchy. They would fuck guys with weak and shitty traits and their offspring would die.

Your thoughts are nice and idealistic but none of that matters in nature. In nature the strongest and most ruthless survive. Female sexual attraction is still dictated by these ancient principles, because in the end nature is the only law that matters. You can keep making excuses or lamenting about how you wish the world was, but it isn't and the sooner you accept that the better.

That guy who makes fun of you when people come around? He's showing everyone in your group that if shit hits the fan, he'll be able to dominate you and take your food, and that makes him more attractive to the females in the group. We're all just monkeys man, accept it and move on and stop being so insecure.
