I look at married men every day and they look absolutely miserable. The same applies to men who chase women. They’re usually tired, lack of focus, irritable, poor health, always have to work late to support her lifestyle, etc.

Just look at malls. The married men are sitting in a corner holding their wife’s purse while she shops with his money. Or he’s walking with her carrying all her packages.

Look at all the romantic gestures and songs over the past 50 years. They’re from men to women. What does a woman bring to the equation other than her womb?

The happiest and healthiest man is one who just doesn’t want women anymore and devotes his life to his dreams, freedom and health.

One day I had to go to the bank during lunch time. I sat down to wait next to a couple of guys who were talking to each other; an Indian guy and a Chinese guy. The Chinese guy looked like a smiling Buddha. I remember thinking here was the happiest adult man I have ever seen. I wonder what his secret is?

He let out a cheery "hello!" and a smile as I sat down. Now I normally hate talking to people but this guy was just so friendly I started talking to him...not much later I asked if he was married (because I'm married and often like to ask people if they have kids, how old are they, etc etc ) and he laughed and said "No! I am divorced...."

We talked for ten minutes or so before he got served and he was just full of good humour and friendliness.

The happiest man I have ever met was a man who used to be married but is now divorced.

Never felt more alone than when I committed my life to loving and helping out someone that slept beside me day in and day out. Only to find that when I was completely broken and bedridden for months on end; it was more important for her to go out and drink with her friends after work rather than come home and take care of me. After all the hours, day after day of taking care of her shit.

Nothing makes you resent someone more than that.

Now I talk to my friends who live with their women and they're all miserable. E.g. : "I want to start my own business, but she bothers me all the time when we're at home. So I'm going to quit my day job so I have time to start my own business." The most idiotic shit comes out of their mouths. It's amazing how a man can lie to themselves so much that they believe it and can't acknowledge any truth.

Being totally alone without anyone to have contact with would suck, but I do not need people constantely around me. I have a few good friends and family and can spend my time with them and enjoying it. Also I play some team sport so that also brings me some social contact. Also I have many people that if I would set a date with them we could hang out and it would be fun. But and this is a big but, I do not have to do any of this stuff everyday to feel not alone. I can spend a week easily by myself with no one to talk to, simply because I find things to do. And here is the big kicker people who feel alone quickly are just not happy being with themselves. They always need someone to feel validated in spending their time.

Also I argue that no rational man would look at the marriage and childeren deal rationally and would accept it. For example: You get to sometimes sleep with a woman who probabbly is not that attracted to you and you have to work hard to provide for your childeren, after all this you are old and left with an old woman by your side. You have spend alot of money on things you never thought you needed and set all or most of your dreams asside.

Now think if you focussed al that time on yourself and what you could accomplish. Not happy with your condition and body, work out 5 to 7 times a week you have the time. Want to go on holiday and travel every year or mabye twice a year, you can you have the time and money. Want to go have drinks with your friends you geniunely like for who they are whenever you can? You can you have time and money. Want to sleep with different attractive woman for a long periode of time, well you can if you have money but if you are good looking and succesfull it will only cost you time.

And then ofcourse the question: What about love? Well love is the on irrational thing that makes men (and women) for that matter jump in this deal.

Some of my friends are sleeping on the couch/in a hotel, spending their day at work as much as possible because when they get home they have to deal with the devil.

I still think being alone is terrible. It just sucks. Humans are social, they need the interaction, they need love and all that. It's just... The world is so fucked up that being alone is safer than trying to trust. It's honestly sad.

The great thing about being alone is that you don't have to rush about anywhere. The time is your own, without obligation to anyone else. Of course you could feel the need to punish yourself for all that freedom with alcohol, gambling and relationships. Alone doesn't mean lonely.
