You're totally on point. There are many, I mean really a lot, of parallels between current western civilization and ancient Rome. Immigration, currency inflation, aging population, systemic corruption, unsustainable "pension" plans, and of course increased female promiscuity and bitchiness in general.

I think you're trying to use the apocolyse idea, which I disagree with. I think technology nowadays has made society very resilient. There will be no apocalypse. People who believe in apocalypse just wish there were an apocalypse because they hate society. MRAs who want to change society, after learning that they cannot change society, go into depression, so they yearn for apocalypse because that will definitely change society. The solution is to accept that this gynocratic oppressive society will continue to exist, but it need not be negative. We can go MGTOW, never marry, never breed, and live comfortable lives filled with freedom, peace, and prosperity. This is positive, nothing to be feel bad about. I guess the road map you’ve laid out is the best way to MGTOW. Acceptance and self-preservation by self-reliance being the endpoints. That said, there is indeed a slight possibility that a 3rd world war may break out in which nukes would have to be used by the losing power. None of that matters to me anyway. I just wanted to point out the flaws of our current western civilization and remind everyone that history is made of social/economic burst and regression cycles, and as indicated by many parallels with ancient decadent civilizations, we're currently in the regression part of the cycle.
You say technology has made humanity foundamentally resilient to any crisis. I disagree completely. Looking at humanity in general and on the long term this might be true, but not certainly for everyone and not in the medium term. Human population has exploded in the last 100 years, and we are a point in time where we were able to accomplish so much in so little time only thanks to new technologies and resources that could suddendly become inaccessible to huge part of the world if a phenomenal event such as a major war or a widespread economic crisis occurred.
In these scenario, we could have million of people starving due to a halt of international exchanges or a momentarly collapse of the grid; so don't be fooled into thinking that hard times can't ever come back. Besides, in ancient Rome people lived relatively comfortable lives even when decadence was rampant.
And being forced into a situation where you need to avoid reproduction to have a decent livestyle is not freedom at all, it's just coercive extincition of your bloodline with extra steps. Do you see a connection between modern feminism, the subsequent male response (MGTOW) and the underlying issues regarding overpopulation I discussed above? I'll let you connect the dots. I don't have many answers but I'm not ok with what's happening.

For sure. I think if we lived long enough, we'd get bored with life once we saw how cyclical everything is. As it is now, enough of the cycles take long enough to not be so obvious. It happens with everything - art, music, fashion, culture. I look at it like a checkerboard. Wherever we are now is on a random square. We always feel the need to "progress" in some other direction though, so soon we'll be on the square to the right (or left, or up or down). This repeats itself until eventually we're back where we started, although none of the original people are still alive so it feels like new territory.
