IMO TRP is rooted in our fundamental drives that has been sculpted by thousands of years of evolution. That recent sociological "developments" in the last 50 years have been at odds with these drives is of no consequence. In a twisted adaptation of an ecological quote - Mother Nature bats last. Put another way, biology will always trump sociology in the long run. Always.

I find my views relating to TRP are inherently compatible with my Libertarian views. Mutual respect between men and women, letting the free market (or between men and women biology) decide what's best and what works so that all parts work in the others best interest and compliment each other, non-aggression principle, so many things just click together between the two in an effort to revert back to our natural and most fulfilling states.

Open borders have nothing to do with classical Liberal policies (the founding American ideology), Ordoliberalism (like the Wirtschaftswunder under Ludwig Erhard) nor soi-disant neo-Liberalism (Reagan and Thatcher).

Your grandfathers and great-grandfathers did not have to compete against Indians (Socialist) and Chinese (Communists). Their governments closed their trade doors, their populations squatted in poverty, your grandfathers prospered and the West as a whole reaped the benefits. The US, Japan and Germany all posted massive economic gains while Britain and France posted lesser gains under more Socialist governments.

Now China came to its senses and opened trade again; India too but less so. But America still has a 39% income tax on businesses, the highest in the OECD. Now, back in the '50s and '60s, it was 90%, since our only competitors had even higher tax rates. But today, we can't afford this rate. Everyone else is lower.

If you can't stomach lowering the tax rate (many Red Pillers, I have seen, suffer from class anxiety and despise the rich; perhaps the nascent RPers still possess great Beta envy?) I have an alternative. The CHICOMs have a lower tax rate for businesses that export. Perhaps the US needs such an exemption, or a bigger exemption for businesses employing people here: e.g., instead of deducting employee wages at a simple 1:1 ratio from taxable net income, add an exemption that allows businesses to deduct 2:1 or 3:1 for wages under $30k/yr per employee.

And yes, government spending needs to be curtailed. When America, Japan and Germany were the only game in town, the US Congress had pricing power and could pass even retarded benefits that made no sense, employer "health care" being one of the stupidest. We need to wise up and completely reform banking, retirement and health care.

FICA (Social Security), Medicare and Medicaid taxes are the most regressive taxes on US citizens, aside from the new Obamacare tax. The Democratic strategy seems to be: make the free market hostile to the working and lower half of the middle class, and make full-blown Socialism the only out. Also, FICA costs twice as much as your paystub shows.

If you claim the business pays the hidden FICA tax and not the employee, you are another self-identified rube.

(Per those 90% tax rates: Lee Iacocca tells a story about working at Ford, where the Executive gourmet dining hall had white-gloved waiters and meals cost $2. Someone asked, since each exec needed to earn $20 to pay $2 for lunch, how much do these lunches really cost? It turned out to be $136 per meal. This dining hall used to be a "business expense" under old tax laws; hell, perhaps it is today. And that, children, is what we call a Fat Cat Habit. We can't afford that anymore.)

Excellent post OP. This is truly the next causal level. If I may offer a precision regarding the left-right dichotomy you describe "looks vaguely like the left, really the right", it's not actually that vague. Neoliberalism is simply the left for societal aspects (the desctruction of all traditional value systems in the name of progressism, be they nationalism, religion, or even scientific rationality) and the right for social-economical aspects (fiscality, protecting capital instead of workers). The solution is flipping the script: the economic left (protecting work instead of capital) and thr societal right (nationalism).But then that categorizes you as a national-sociealist and that's forbidden teritory since you know what (you get inevitably called the new you know who). Even getting closer to that such as Trump will make you drown under Godwin points (just like Putin or Khadaffi before him). I actually was instinctively against Trump as I thought he was just a troll saying outrageous shit unnecessarily and then the type of accusations he was getting in the media (i.e. once he reached a 1000 or so Godwin points) made me look closer to what seems to be his program. Let's just say that I was fearing that he'd be ellected and do what he said he'll do. Now my biggest fear is that he is ellected and doesn't do what he said he'll do.
