First post here, so I don't know if I am allowed to do this, but I have something to say, so here it goes:
Have you ever tried to stop initiating sex, just to see what happens? It fucking disappears entirely. My current GF complains that her ex didn't like to have sex as much as she and I do. I don't buy it. In fact I have done this multiple times across multiple relationships to the same effect and my conclusion is simple: men initiate sex more. Now this isn't pocket rocket science, it's just nature, women don't have to initiate sex, so they simply don't experience, and can't imagine world, where that impetus is on them. They wander through life, picking mates, and then sex just magically appears.
I love this meme because it is true on a very deep level. When you start to realize that humans (male and female) don't appreciate the things they don't have to work for, life looks a lot more sinister. It starts to looks like an unjust winner-takes-all life. People are very good at appreciating anything of quality, and rejecting anything that is not quality. There is no love for the depth of pain in the process of creation, just the result.
This became very clear when I landed a sweet new job. It took me many months of horrible pain to finally get it, and get it at the salary I wanted. Then on my first day, my boss, my new co-workers, they all loved me. It was incredible. I was so high. So when I get home and tell the GF about it, she doesn't even look at me, she keeps watering her plant, and then she says to me: "I wouldn't trust them". Why? Why on gods green earth would you just shit on my hard-fought happiness? This is a beautiful new budding relationship, why can't you be happy for me? Oh right, because you aren't an engineer and this joy is something you can't just fucking steal and call your own, and morph into your own pride, and pad your own emotional security blanket with. Because it is too painful to be called to the awareness that there are pleasures in life you cannot have. Like a child with a candy bar behind a glass cabinet, you know that it tastes good, but you can't have it, and that makes you bitter because you need everything to be yours.
And this isn't some rich girl, this is a girl who works hard, and was born poor. It doesn't matter. Going through life with eternal boners to feast on (sorry for that) spoils you. Unconditional love ruins you. I would never ever complain about my ex not wanting to have sex because that is so clearly just a normal symptom of every dysfunctional relationship ever. You were probably just too dense to know what was really going on because you never actually had to look at a homeless person and think "that could be me" (my apologies to the minority proportion of suffering homeless women). This is probably why we men end up in STEM so often. As a man you will never feel the warmth of basking in another persons complete love. We fool ourselves from time to time, but that female will never truly, completely love you until you have children and she then needs you - but that isn't true love, is it? So what do we do? We become engineers, we find pleasure in little hobbies to occupy our time, and get lost in the fascinating cracks of reality because there we can be alone, we hide our little happyness there where it can't be stolen.
What kind of a cruel god takes good personalities and puts them into the unattractive half of women, and puts selfish monsters into the rest?
