I've always wanted to learn to paint like that but have no talent or background. What would you recommend as a starting point for someone who is almost hopeless?

You have talent, but being able to take it commercial is yet another talent. Few people possess both. For the time being, best to treat it as a hobby.

These are really beautiful. I like both of the paintings on the left hand side. I think the portrait of the woman with eyes closed really came out nice. Her face especially looks good. Her neck and hand are a bit off, but the overall paining looks great regardless.

I've started painting as well my good sir. Though I've picked more neutral subjects to paint, ha ha. I enjoy a slightly realistic (like a man) approach as well as incorporating a minimalistic standpoint.
