You are not used to being free, in my country we have lots of documented statements of just freed slaves asking their master to go back. Freedom seems like a big burden at the beginning but pays out with time.

Your brain is wired to get satisfaction to certain things, that's why there are "psychological" elements to addiction, our brain forms connection between action and reward or action and bad outcome.

You just need to find new meanings, new ways to get rewards, it will come in time, but you have to be aware that it's up to you, you dont have to be a slave to pussy chasing anymore, you don't have to get validation from women, you are free.

Find a way to create value. Become an expert in something. Create demand for your ideas. Demand compensation in return - don't do shit for free. Don't give your time or energy away to anyone who does not earn it. Take the value (probably money) you collect and buy yourself some nice stuff. Start with a house. Share it with people who deserve it (but only if they earn it).

For example, discover the historical processes by which our society has become screwed up. Learn from good-quality books, often available used, at very low price, from Amazon. 3. Education/apprenticeship to learn a trade. 4. Exercise, health, physical and mental self-improvement.

I have found purpose in living my life according to the middle way that is often referred to in eastern philosophy. Take care of the essentials in your life and slowly move closer and closer to peace. When you reach peace, just maintain it. That's all there is to life lol and it's that easy.

I believe Jordan Peterson's, idea that purpose=responsibility.

I've finding purpose in shouldering big goals that give me positive emotion as I progress towards them. One nice goal is finding your niche/self realization. I believe Niche= a compromise btwn what other people want you to do, and what YOU want to do.

People say I'm a little prophet, and I make them see the world differently, and I like the feeling I get when I'm doing that, so I'm going to pursue that NICHE.

Any mans purpose can be to help other men be the best man that they can be. Let's say that we are a group of men who are trying to improve ourselves and our desire is to associate with other men who also are striving to improve themselves. That excludes those that are making no effort to improve themselves.

One major struggle for any man is to desire to accomplish some goal and to be frustrated in his inability to succeed. Be that to feed a family or improve society or to become some great or accomplished something, like an athlete. A man will go to great lengths to figure out a way to "win" or at least improve toward his goal.

Men are being frustrated in their ability to establish an equal and stable relationship with a woman, thus MGTOW, or those who see the reality and futility, not to mention the expense. and personal literal harm. "A fool is someone who keeps doing the same thing and getting the same results."

But we still can find purpose in supporting other men on their journey to "enlightenment." In supporting others and in turn others supporting us. Today's women have absolutely no capability of supporting a man in his time of weakness and need, and more so, have no desire to.

I am going to give out what real life is about but I am also very positive that I will be graved to bottom with never-ending downvotes; so if you're slightly interested. You will find the answer meaningful. The purpose of life is to worship one Lord and that's it. I am not going to specify which religion and which not. As long as religion is monotheistic; you're on right track to find the purpose of life. This life is like an examination centre where both good (joy) and bad (suffer) things happen. Fulfil the purpose of what your life was created and you'll find peace. The woman is no purpose of life.

i ask myself this every day, now that ive removed myself from the "matrix" typical lifestyle i must admist i feel very empty like theres a war inside me and i have no purpose. i occupy my time with stupid stuff in this rat race and never feel any more accomplished, some times i feel like i just want to pack a bag and move into the woods in the middle of nowhere and just live in isolation as long as possible

the sudden realization that everything and everyone in your life has been fake is almost crippling and is taking me a long time to recover but im worried i will be stuck in this negative thinking forever

Great question, i struggle with this sometimes myself. My resolution is to do things that fulfill me: hobbies, travel, exercise, reading, studying philosophy (the meaning of life is something men have struggled to grasp for millenia). And at the end of the day just appreciate being alive and in relative peace and stability. Watch planet earth or neil de grasse Cosmos on Netflix for some persepctive on life and how you fit into the Universe.

What purpose is there in life other than to exist? However, my small business keeps me occupied 60-80 hours per week, keeps me social, and keeps me active and on my toes. Makes a tidy profit too, but meh, I don't spend much money on myself anymore. My kid can blow it all someday, lol.

I am one step ahead of you - paid off my loans / debt, but still trying to rewire my brain. I was doing things I didn't like because of the obligations. Those were the stick. I have some savings and trying to figure out what to do with this newly found freedom. It is scary to come to the realization that you are free and you will take the full burden of your decisions. I found a lot of joy in farming - being outside, doing physical work and tasting all kinds of veggies.

The purpose in life is to find something that you deem worth of your suffering.

This is a tough one but happens. When we opt out, become aware, more conscious, things start to seem pointless. I was there too at one point. I don't think there is necessarily a "how to" way of finding a purpose in life. The more you think about it, the more anxious you get because you are trying to still chase something. I think it will come naturally. You are just at that time in your life. Because you are not conforming and society needs conformists because it makes them feel they are doing something right, even sacrificing their own happiness. This is the path you took, it'll teach you valuable lessons. You will feel alone. But you will get over it. It will not last forever because nothing is permanent. Everything is change. Endure through it, do what you like and start with the small things. Morning walks, watching your favorite comedy, cooking, reading, whatever. Start with small goals like eating right and exercising. Don't think about it or analyze it too much. Things will change and eventually, you will find something, you will find your way. Most importantly, you are free. Let it happen naturally.

When I was too young to know better, I used to say my one goal in life was to find true love. Imagine my surprise when I found it, but realised it would never be reciprocated in the same way.

I've come to believe that life truly is purposeless. When I die the world will still go on. When you die the world will still go on. Not even a hundredth of a percent of the worlds population know we exist. As unlikely as it is to exist, I think it is a complete accident or some sort of mega-fluke. Now I face a choice, whether to wallow in the fact that I came from nothing and will once again return to nothing, or whether to make the most of my limited time on this godforsaken ball of rock and do what I enjoy whilst positively impacting those around me. They say ignorance is bliss, but that doesn't mean you can overcome purposelessness.

Your goals aren't lame. You shouldn't spend your life trying to pursue a worthy goal, because in 20 years time, you'll look back realising you've accomplished nothing and wonder what you could have achieved if you only started earlier. Pay off your loans, make it a goal to reach a certain income level, get a certain car, anything. Just pick something fun, you don't need to be the first man on the moon!

Enjoy your freedom; grab a beer and relax.
