I'm not a germaphobe, and you shouldn't be, either.

We have incredible immune systems- BUT THEY NEED SHIT TO PRACTICE ON.

All you are doing is gimping yourself if you let antibacterial and antimicrobial agents act as your immune system.

Working in the public health field has truly shown how disgusting the human body is, male and female. Every time I wash my hands you would think I was going to be performing surgery.

Washing one's hair every day isn't even good for it, particularly with these chemical-laden shampoos many use. Not everybody stinks from not showering for a day, I don't. Usually I shower daily, but it's more out of ritual and comfort than necessity. I agree, many people are disgusting; however, you draw some false conclusions born of your own hangups. It benefits corporations to have you think that you need to shower and use their products daily. A large bottle of shampoo lasts me six months or more now, and my hair and scalp have never been healthier.

I'm not a germaphobic but i really hate the unhygienic ones. unhygienic are the one of the reasons that i stop doing one night stands. Most of the women's are ugly and on top of that there hygiene is the main problem.

Not really except I won't be touching women with a six foot pole right now considering that the majority of them have at least one and some more than one STD/STI. And condoms might not help you with that. P.S. And that article provides some solid evidence that they are not clean otherwise either. That's probably why the majority of them stink of cheap perfume mixed with their stale body smells. Quite disgusting.

You do realize your showering twice per day is as bad as smoking ? You are destroying your skin bacterial flora. BTW you start to show mental compulsive disorder calm the fuck down or go to psychiatrist.

I'm not sure I actually am but I'm very very neat and prefer my things in clean order, always. I hate certain things a lot of people do; such us cleaning their stuffy nose with their fingers and handshaking others with it without concern for the other's health or bothering to wash their hands. I also hate dirty stuffs and things being put out of order or misapplying things or using materials in the wrong places and contexts; for example drinking water out of a bucket used for bathing, putting sugar in a meal meant to be cooked with salt, etc.. I'm also fond of washing whatever I'm using to cook or put my food in to eat, several times (I mean 4+ times); and would still even sometimes wash it one more time when someone claims they did before giving it to me.

For now, I've kept my bathing frequency to the minimum: strictly twice a day, morning and evening before bed—and ONLY with cold baths (despite my country being in the harshly cold rain season). A while in the past I would obsessively/ compulsively take at least three, four baths per each day, especially during my high school days and as a first year student in the university.

I think I'm not a germaphobe because unlike you, I'm never afraid or refrain from shaking people and in fact feel an inclination to do so whenever I meet someone I know (but try to wash my hands before touching anything edible). However, I rarely hug people; it isn't even something very common here except between couples and "girlfriend-boyfriend" couples. Though there are times I totally avoid handshakes. I don't even often meet people I know so the whole handshake thing is not too much bother for me.

I prefer my bed ALWAYS neatly laid/ made, and my room dirtless and in order. Consequently, my room would always averagely smell good even without application of special fragrances. If my "dirty"(normally dirty from sweaty scent rather than actual dirt {you know, my country is a hot place during the dry season}) clothes are unwashed, or my bed unmade, I feel terribly anxious and uncomfortable even miles away.

I'm just an averagely neat guy.

@u/mthrowaway52 Get your blood checked ASAP and get a psychologist also ASAP. I can´t live a normal life because of my ocd. If you wait it will get worse.
