I'm no expert but I don't think Post Partum Depression is biological. Having a kid is a real big pain in the ass. Say goodbye to your freedom. You are financially responsible for the kid. You have to deal with the baby waking you up screaming all the time...

I legitimately think that a lot of mothers end up regretting having kids. And then they develop "Post-Partum Depression" and want to kill their kid.
