Yeah, if women were biologically designed for fighting, they wouldn't be women. Westerners are just deluded retards when it comes to this stuff because there's no real danger here so no one is ever tested. The vast, vast majority of women couldn't handle true hardship on their own. Even those Kurds are probably just played up for propaganda.

Women will only take the gun and fight alongside their men against their enemy, only when the said enemy doesn't spare the women from a fate similar to that of their men. The best example would be the Mau Mau rebellion in Kenya against British colonialism. In this rebellion, these African women fought against the British forces because often, the women and their children were killed indiscriminately just like the men - even in cases where the British found a village without a single male. In reprisals attacks, the British colonial forces killed women who were left in the village which inspired most of them to go into the jungle and join the men. Another example is that of soviet women snipers in Stalingrad. They knew that they would never be treated in the same manner the Norwegian, French and Dutch women who often even got pregnant after having romantic affairs with Nazi officers.

As far as I know the real reason why Kurdish women are serving is because apparently the jihadists believe that they will not go to heaven if they are killed by a woman so they get pretty scared if a woman is attacking them and they run away.

I agree that the vast majority of female combatants throughout history are ridiculously blown out of proportion. They make for a nice story, but they're just that: stories.

That being said, the Night Witches are pretty dope from what I learned about them. Flew in wood and canvas crop duster planes to do bombing run after bombing run, which was actually beneficial because the rickety pieces of shit were so slow that it was hard for the Germans to shoot them down. Didn't even carry parachutes so they had more room for bombs. Most cases of women actually succeeding in war is when they don't do direct combat.

So this comes up occasionally here, and I like to toss my 2 cents in every time. I was infantry in the army, and in my battalion we had female medics that would have to complete long foot movements with us like 12 to 25 miles in a few hours. When doing these foot marches we (the infantry) would be loaded down with our rucks (90-95 pounds if you're a basic rifleman, 120-155 if you carry a crew served weapon), our armor (30-40 lbs depending on how big of a guy you are), our weapon (7-10 lbs for rifleman 25-30 lbs for crew served weapons), and our ammunition (a standard combat load for a rifleman is 210 rounds or about 15-20 lbs idk how much ammo the suckers that carried the LMGs had) you could easily end up with a back breaking amount of weight on and still be expected to march 12 miles in 3 hours to infantry standard. Now the women and other medics carried NOTHING but their fieldbag with medical supplies and some IVs. EVERY SINGLE TIME the females would fall out within the first 6 miles or so. Women, no matter how you spin it, do NOT make good warriors. They aren't built for combat, they aren't mentally capable of dealing with the stress load and getting into the mindset.

Why would we care?

If women want to become warriors, they should. Doesn't really have much relevance to men finding their own path.

I agree that the romanticism around female warriors is hilariously inaccurate.

If anything, the extra sympathy female warriors would invariably generate just helps prove male disposability.

I said to her that Jean of Arc was only recognized because she was a woman and not because her fight skills, what is true.
