Guys... you know me by many names on this forum. This alias is of course used to hide my identity.

2 years ago I came here in desperate need of help and things have begun to turn around.

My daughter is now 12 1/2 and is getting into that age of defiance.

Her mother teaches her nothing. She is late constantly and when I try to teach her the consequences of being late.. and then have punishments, it is like I am the evil doer of the world. I have taught my daughter responsibility, accountability, she is talented and polite.. but god damnit is a woman's nature to be irresponsible.

She wants a consequence-free life. 12 years of teaching through many methods, creating word pictures, showing examples of others, stories, logic, small punishments, meta-explanations, then yelling, then teaching again.. forgiving and all that.

Mother Fucker!!! it does nothing. It's like short-term memory loss ever 4-6 hours like nothing happened and back to consequence-free choices and I'm at a loss.

If there were 2 people teaching her and supporting each other but god damnit she spouted some stupid shit today and it was like I was talking to someone else's kid... like she had never been taught a fucking thing in her life.. Unfucking believable.
